Sentiment on Monday, as gauged by the put-call ratio, ended bullish at 0.72. As for institutional sentiment, it has been on the decline since the 8th of January, following the conclusion to the start of year buying pattern for many participants. The Dark Index, a gauge of dark pool buying activity, now sits at 40.3%, down from the high of 48% recorded through the first week of the year. Typically, levels 45% or higher are indicative of buying demand, conducive for intermediate-term market gains thereafter.
