The Markets
Stocks closed fairly mixed on Wednesday as investors were observed reallocating portfolios toward economic reopening bets. The S&P 500 Index closed lower by a mere three basis points (0.03%), remaining pinned to record-high territory. Intermediate support remains apparent at the rising 50-day moving average, while short-term support has been retaken at the 20-day; the short and intermediate trends are definitively positive. Momentum indicators continue to show characteristics of a bullish trend, however, early indications that RSI and MACD are rolling over below previous highs depicts a negative divergence, indicative of waning buying demand. Falling volume attests to the same.
