US Industrial Production for April

Industrial production remains upbeat four months into the year amidst the flurry of activity that has corresponded with the reaction to tariffs, as well as the return of activity at Boeing. The change in industrial production in the US declined by 1.5% (NSA) in April, which is better than the 2.2% drawdown that has been normal for this fourth month of the year over the past two decades (1.5% average decline when April of 2020 is excluded).  Read our analysis of US Industrial Production, as well as the investment implications within: US Industrial Production
