US Retail Sales for June

 

As was highlighted in our report on Vehicle Sales for June, consumers were seen pulling back on spending last month as the burden that has been imposed as a result of tariffs and the high cost of borrowing takes a bite. 

 

Retail sales fell by 5.3% (NSA) in this first month of the meteorological summer season, which is more than double the 2.4% drawdown that is average for this time of year.
