The Index measures the performance of the small-capitalization sector of the United States equity market, and consists of stocks that have a market capitalization between $300 million and $2 billion (which may fluctuate depending on the overall level of the equity markets). The Index serves as the underlying index for the S&P 600/Citigroup Growth and Value Index series. The component stocks are weighted according to the total float-adjusted market value of their outstanding shares. The Fund invests in a representative sample of securities included in the Index that collectively has an investment profile similar to the Index.
